Trinity South Central Fire Department

TSCFD was formed in 2012 with LSD Cavendish and Town of Whiteway and currently have 23 active members. The department meets Tuesday evenings and are trained with the latest technology.

TSCFD in 2024 received a grant in the amount of $65,000 from the provincial government for some much-needed equipment. We currently have 3.p 25 radios that were obtained by extra training.

In 2023 Trinity South Central Fire Department responded to 23 calls for emergency services.

The department is a member of the NL Association of fire services and Trinity Bay de Verde fire fighters’ association.

Here are some tips on how to react and how to prevent fires:

• Crawl under smoke to exit
• Plan your escape ahead with your family
• Install smoke alarms and replace batteries regularly
• If possible, install an automatic home fire sprinkler alarm
• Use electricity safely
• Remember space heater need space
• Keep matches and lighters out of reach of children
