Getting Here…

Driving from St. John’s. Total time by Trans Canada: 1 hour 21 mins.

Tourists flying into St. John’s can easily get onto the Trans Canada by following routes to Kenmount Road, The Outer Ring Road or Pitts Memorial Highway out of the city which all join up with the Trans Canada Highway. Follow this route till you reach Whitbourne Cross Roads and take a right onto Route 80 towards Dildo and New Harbour. After Green’s Harbour you will arrive in Whiteway.

Driving from the ferry terminal at Argentia to Whiteway

Head northwest toward Placentia Pike
Turn right onto Trans-Canada Hwy/NL-1 E (signs for Trans-Canada Highway/St. John‘s)
Take exit 28 for NL-80/Newfoundland and Labrador 81 toward New Harbour/Whitbourne
Turn left onto Trinity Rd S/Trinity Rd South 80/NL-80 N

Driving from Port Aux Basques
Distance: 845kms – approx 8.5 hours

From the ferry terminal in Port Aux Basques continue on the Trans Canada till the turn off to the left at Cross Roads taking Trinity Rd. South 80 to Dildo, then continue on this main road passing New Harbour and Green’s Harbour till you arrive at Whiteway.
